The Challenge
The client is a well-known Business Stationery Design & Printing company. They wanted to develop software which can allow the users to select and customize their business stationery online on internet. The business stationery could be Business Card, Flyer, Brochure, Postcard, Leaflet, Letterhead or Presentation Folders. The challenge was to develop such online feature for designing and customizing the stationery with the design & data of user's choice and that too without any manual operation.
They should be able to save the design in their account for future use. Ordering features was required to accept the orders online on website. Newsletter and Promotional offer features were needed to update the registered customers with new arrivals and facilities. Customers could share their thoughts for the system by submitting a feedback. The Content Management System was also required to manage the various data in the different pages like FAQ, Payment & Billing, About Services & Company, Printing & Processing, and other general pages.
The Solution
We developed software which provides and admin interface to upload the templates for Business Card, Flyer, Brochure, Postcard, Leaflet, Letterhead and Presentation Folders. This will give the choice to the online user to select one or more from available choice of templates. The users can customize the template by add/edit/remove objects like text fields & image, move the object position, and preview the design proof on the fly. Once the user is ok with the new design he can generate the final PDF of the design and order the product. The order goes to the system for further processing.
A detailed FAQ section is provided with this software with hundreds of questions, answers and general information which are very useful for users. The admin section has good content management system to manage the text content of the website. Some of the other features of admin are Category Management, Layout & Image Management, Font & Banner Master, Tax & City Master. A testimonial & FAQ manager is provided to update the content for front website. Newsletter & Promotions Management system keeps the users up to date about the website and new offers. Database backup function is provided to protect and back the database at different intervals.
